About

PURPLE RAINA Self Care is a suite of hemp CBD-infused self-care and grooming products that help nourish the skin, soothe sore muscles, and pamper the senses with aromatherapy. These versatile products are created to be used from head to toe, and offer daily rituals invoking the 7 Chakras inherent to yoga, meditation, massage, and aromatherapy. Regardless of gender, ethnicity and age, adults desire the healthiest, most vibrant skin, hair, and scalp individually possible. PURPLE RAINA Self Care seeks to appeal to our collective humanity, by focusing on our common need for daily grooming and self-care on a physical, mental, and spiritual level. Going beyond traditional concepts of gender and beauty, PURPLE RAINA promotes “mindful self-care and grooming.”
My name is Raina Jackson and I am a personal care product junkie who created PURPLE RAINA Self Care for people like me seeking to soothe sore muscles and to dry sensitive skin through plant-powered products free of artificial ingredients and fragrances. The brand logo was inspired by the mystical peacock, graced with glorious feather plumage symbolizing male beauty and prowess. Yet the peacock's essence has a female vibration as well. Prince, the phenomenal musician, cultural icon, philanthropist and fellow Purple Lover, was the human embodiment of a peacock and is a major inspiration for PURPLE RAINA Self Care. I hope His Royal Badness would approve! Get ready to Prance and Flex! Balance Your Chakras & Get Glowed Up from the Toes Up!

Raina Jackson, Founder

I am a cannabis brand strategist and product junkie with over 15 years of experience in personal care product development, sales and marketing management, and education. After earning a B.A. degree with honors from Stanford University as a first-generation college graduate and an MBA in Marketing from the NYU Stern School of Business, I worked for top beauty/personal care companies like Shea Moisture and L’Oréal in NYC. I trained as a hairdresser at the internationally acclaimed Vidal Sassoon Academy in London and later taught cosmetology at The Aveda Institute in SOHO NYC. Since I was a young girl, I have loved the color Purple and have been a major fan of Prince, the musical cultural legend and fellow Purple lover. Purple is my chosen hair color and the color of my February Aquarius birthstone amethyst. Purple is a divine spiritual color that is rare in nature and vibrates at a high frequency. The brand name was inspired by Prince’s iconic Purple Rain movie and soundtrack, featuring his racially diverse and gender fluid band The Revolution. Since the early 1980s Prince sang songs promoting personal and sexual freedom, having a good time, and denouncing war and racial/sexual intolerance. As an urban hippie born and raised in San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury neighborhood I have practiced yoga for over 15 years and am inspired by the Mind and Body connection and daily “mindful self-care” rituals promoting mental and physical balance. I want to build a Purple Posse of brand ambassadors who will take an active role educating consumers on plant-powered wellness products and gaining their feedback.
